To condemn racism is to not only listen to our black brothers and sisters but to take action to fight injustice. Where do you start? You ask. Desiree has a heart-to-heart with Dani Coke, @ohhappydani on social, to answer that question and discuss the many terms floating around, the call to the white community and to the church, and bring light to what truly matters in this fight against injustice.

If we can learn anything from the injustice and the movements that are taking place in our nation right now, it’s that we can no longer be silent.

The first step to understanding what is taking place is to listen to our black brothers and sisters and hear their cry for equality.

It was a privilege and an honor to speak with Dani Coke on this issue of racism and I truly hope you are able to listen with open ears, hearts and minds to take that first step.

What you will learn from Dani:

  • What is an ally and how to be the right kind of ally.

  • Performative posts vs. Productive posts

  • Self centering and the heart behind the action

  • You don’t have to have it perfect to speak out.

  • What is white privilege and why it’s not what many people think.

  • Conviction vs. Guilt on the matter

  • To make change in the world, it has to start in our heart and be discussed in the home.

  • Protesting and the misconceptions

  • Resources to learn and educate yourself on all the topics discussed.
